I LIKE

I Like…

I like…

Wading through the foamy

Waters of the seas.

Wriggling my toes

In the sand of the beach.

Climbing right to the top

Of the gardens trees.

And biting right into a

Sweet, juicy peach.

I like…

Going to sleep

On my mothers warm lap.

Soaring high like a bird

When my dad carries me.

Working hard throughout the day

Then taking a quick nap.

Drinking some strong

Sugar filled tea.

I like…

To dream of the future

“I wonder what I might become.”

Learning about science

Chemistry, Physics and Biology.

Being the first person to

Work out a hard mathematics sum.

Waking up early in the morning

And being full of energy.

But…Most of all…

I like…

This world and its nature,

The wildlife in it too,

My family and my friends.

Everything else is just number two.

I am the Bullock Driver

I am the Bullock Driver

I am the bullock driver

Whose life is full of hardship

No friends have I, no comrades

The outback and I share friendship

For miles and miles on

Not a thing in my sight

Except for the glittering sand

And the silvery moon of the night

I am the king of the desert

My throne made of golden sand

I ride upon my cattle-drawn chariot

I rule with rein in hand

For weeks or even months

Home, I shall not return

My life: tis of no excitement

Like that of a flowerless fern

I hear the cattle clatter their feet

And clunk together their horns

The scattering of bush creatures

And the bird’s cries and mourns

I drive my bullocks for miles

Through the scorching heat of the day

Through the freezing breezes of the night

But nowt can I say

Nowt can I whine

Nowt can I complain

Though this loneliness can be depressing

So much, I’ll turn insane

The cattle never mind it though

Never do they whine

They have their friends and their family

Family? None here of mine

I am the bullock driver

Who drives the cattle form town to town

I must travel many sandy paths

Travel up dunes and then back down

This life is very difficult

How hard no one believes

I gain no gratitude for the job I do

For this, every bullocky grieves

I travel from village to town

With the bullocks at my side

I have sovereignty over the deserts

With no laws, do I abide

I sustain utmost courage

I wield the cracking, stinging whip

And a loaded Colt revolver

In the holster at my hip

O’er the remote earth

Tis like I am on many exiles

A ruler o’ this lone kingdom

From civilisation - many miles

I am the bullock driver

A hard job is what I do

Many years I have travelled

But the journeys? Yet a few…

God's Wish

God’s Wish

When god made the worlds,

When he shaped this universe,

His thoughts and wishes about his creation,

Went entirely in reverse.

His thoughts about peace,

About the ways we would strive,

Became ruptured and ruined,

As soon as humans started to thrive.

It began with the first humans,

With their lust that soon spread.

Their desire for more pleasure and power,

That only caused dread.

Disaster embarked on a journey,

Many years ago,

And it is still claiming lives,

Through the years that follow.

Not many were the righteous.

Not many did sacrifice,

Their lives to get rid off,

The killing, the torture and the lies.

God’s heart became full of burdens,

As the humans started their conquest.

Making it a long time,

Since, someone, god blessed.

To take away life,

No man has the right.

It is only up to god to make,

A being sleep an infinite night.

It has been long since,

The earth’s beauty was preserved,

Since the Earth was untouched,

And since battles were reserved.

Humans seek only pleasure, power, prosperity,

And unnecessary freedom.

Never do they want divinity,

Never did they seek wisdom.

If god wanted peace,

Righteousness and divinity,

Why is the world in struggle?

And why is there always a fall in humanity?

If gods wishes never came to be,

If his wants never came through,

Is it possible for the human’s,

Wishes to come true?

When the world changes,

Then that day will we understand

The real values of the,

Sacred, blessed and flourishing land.

Probably when gods immortal dreams,

Become a success,

Our human creation’s mortal dreams,

The divine one will bless.

But when will that come about,

Happen, will it ever?

If the world goes how it is,

It is obvious that will be never.

Geethai

Geethai

Once there was a young man

Sorrow within

Though he had not done a bad deed

Though he had not committed a sin

No hope had he

Bound in despair

In a world of ignorance

For him, there was no one to care

Sweat trickled down his neck

Below his teary face

As he questioned his existence

Within a disturbing maze

As all his fortune gone

His prosperity was now lost

His riches now to rags

Hatred within him- ‘unthawable’ frost

A frost that couldn’t be dissolved

An icy-cold disaster impossible to melt

A coldly burning scar of his life

A frost with which no one had dealt

He had no one to look to

What he had was nowhere to be found

All that were left to him

Was the sky above him and the ground

Lies were what he heard

Loss was all around

All that he thought of

Were the traitors in the surround

Wherever there is a will

There is a way

But he had great will

But a way he could not say

In the pain of betrayal he cried

For revenge he panicked

To avenge his losses his blood boiled

In fear of his future he frolicked

He heard all but the truth

Yet he told all but lies

His vengeance will be an answer

To his painful, disturbing cries

While he thought there was no hope

There was yet another

There came an elderly man

Whose heart cared for all like a mother

Slowly, at his own pace

Came the elderly

A brightened face giving light

And much hope had he

He came towards and sat down

An arm over the young man

He spoke courageously

Giving a helping hand

Hearing what had happened

The old man had a laugh

Expected, the young man, for sympathy

Sympathy? None, not even half

Now, now. What have you lost

Your riches and your wealth

Be glad it was nothing else

Not a limb or your health

When god created us

For this beautiful earth

We entered to this realm

With nothing at birth

Then we didn’t have money

Nor did we have clothes within our mother

We had nothing with us then

Except our emotions, however

We had love and there was care

Given to us from the start

An energy to fill our

Peace seeking heart

When we entered this world

Nothing then had we

When time passes by

You’ll get a chance to understand and see

A chance to know that

When we die it is the same

you’ll understand life is not money

Nor is it the pride and the fame

So, what you gain in life

It won’t be with you forever

But the education and the respect

You will have for eternity, forever and ever

The young man with power in heart

Wiped away the tears

He stood up with strength

And looked straight into his fears

Gaining hopeful spirit

He now became a real man

With every action he would take form now

Will show he actually can

The young man forgot all his worries

He took it all as a game

Looking at the father-like man

He politely asked for his name

My name is Krishna

But some call be Vishnu

I hope I have given you motivation

And inspiration to you

As a token of respect

The young man bowed his head

He closed his eyes and thought

Of what the other had said

He looked up to find

The old man had disappeared

And then turned his mind to some thoughts

That had suddenly appeared

The words the elder had spoken

The old man’s name

To the lord, Krishna himself

Were the same

As more and more spirit rose within

He knew he was under the care of the lord

Under the vision of the almighty

Filled with love from the god

Fly Our Freedom bird

Fly our freedom bird

The world is always in danger,

Everywhere, all around.

Waves attack, high winds blow,

And shake, does the ground.

Fly bird,

Oh, fly bird.

A long way there is to go.

Fly bird,

Oh, fly bird.

Changing the world will be slow.

There are miles to go,

Before we rest,

That you and I know.

Flying to freedoms nest,

Changing the world will be slow.

Fighting and shooting,

What use is there in.

WORLD PEACE, those words we have to sing.

Do this rather than making a sin,

The world just might change quicker.

Fly bird,

Oh, fly bird.

A long way there is to go.

Fly bird,

Oh, fly bird.

Changing the world will be slow.

There are miles to go,

Before we rest,

That you and I know.

Flying to freedoms nest,

Changing the world will be slow.

BAD DEEDS, we do this,

God will punish us,

Sending great asteroids that will never miss,

The planet that now holds us.

Mother earth, how much will she bear,

But does anyone really care?

Wrecking our beautiful planet,

Pulling it apart here and there.

But when the years will come by,

All we’ll do is stare,

At the once beautiful planet earth,

Torn up into a way, to say I do not dare.

Fly bird,

Oh, fly bird.

A long way there is to go.

Fly bird,

Oh, fly bird.

Changing the world will be slow.

There are miles to go,

Before we rest,

That you and I know.

Flying to freedoms nest,

Changing the world will be slow.

Earth

Earth

Earth,

Mother earth.

Sometimes lives,

It will make,

Or in anger,

It will shake,

Giving a massive earthquake.

Making lives,

Plants and tree,

Rivers and lakes,

Oceans and seas.

We live on mother earth,

Thriving and surviving,

And also striving,

To keep mother earth living.

But we still have to survive,

To make the earth live.

Deewali

DEEWALI

A time of imagination

A time of mythology

Dozens of lamps, placed in a row

Lighting the way for me

Oil lamps abound

All lighting the sky

This festival celebrates

The time Naraka finally did die

Magic and joy

As fire works blast

Crackers we light

And prayers we cast

With cheers and shouts

The whole nation will celebrate

Embellishing their house

Decorations which are elaborate

Food, honey and special sweets

Essence floating fragrantly

Mixing in the atmosphere

Together with the streamers and confetti

The music of temple bells

Listen as the notes fly by

To the heavens above

Dancing in the sky

The little kids in the village

Through the streets, scamper

As they play games and dance around

And not come home till it is darker

The streets all filled with lights

From the shops and stalls

Opened throughout the nights

Before the day Deewali falls

A day for the gods

A day which is holy

A day for celebrations

A day called Deewali

HAPPY DEEWALI TO ALL!!!!!
